I am a skeptic. If it is popular, it is suspect. I have given up things because they came to be in style.
I like technology, and I like revealing things you can't or won't see, like tiny flowers, 3d clouds, recordings of frog calls, and panoramas of the swamp. I use technology as a tool to do this. Actually, I like gadgets, but they get boring without a purpose. I love to say, "Look at this!"
I have been working with computers since the Sinclair TX80, then Commodore 64, then the Mac IIfx, and now a dual G5 Mac.
I have been a photographer since a Yashika A twin lens reflex, then a Canon Ftb, and now a Canon A80. (Its a start. I want a digital SLR.) I also built a unique panoramic pinhole camera in a paint can.
So I did not blog all of 2010. Facebook takes the place of blogs. The two companies have a rivalry going. Facebook thinks it can replace Google: You will just ask your friends for info. Right. And they will look it up on Google or Wikipedia.
