- PC’s don’t read USB natively. It has to be done by a driver in Windows. That means that if you use a USB keyboard, you can’t press F2 or other special keys during startup when you have a problem.
- Error messages are often misleading. “Login incorrect” may mean your network is not connected. “No valid files” may mean you don’t have login privileges.
- The registry is a massive central place for all programs and the OS to store preferences. If one application corrupts it, you may have to reformat and start fresh with all applications.
- If you need a "wizard" to help you do something, that is a sure sign the interface is not intuitive.
- Viruses and spyware and other hacks.
